A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be Farm Manager on the Sotterley Estate which is a productive and picturesque estate located on the Suffolk / Norfolk border. Under its progressive ownership, you will be joining the estate at an exciting and pivotal moment, offering a unique opportunity to the right person.
This very special estate comprises 1,250 hectares of land including arable, stewardship, parkland, and woodland plus a further 300 hectares farmed on contract farming agreements and tenancies.
As Farm Manager you will be responsible for managing the farming team and liaising with the finance and admin teams in the estate office. The successful candidate will need to be proactive and be the point of contact with the agronomist, 3rd party potato, veg and herb growers as well as any external advisors to the business.
As well as managing all of the cropping and environmental stewardship schemes, the Farm Manager will also have responsibility for all farm records and the annual Red Tractor audit. The role will also lead on Health & Safety matters and ensure the farm is managed to the highest of standards.
